Dr. Kelly Gonzalez was born in Colombia, which is where she began her journey into dentistry. At just 15 years old, she was accepted into one of the top dental schools in the country and graduated with honors. She began her career in a private practice in Cartagena, Colombia through 2010 before taking her talents to the United States.
With years of experience already under her belt, Dr. Kelly began studying at Nova Southeastern University in 2011 and went on to graduate three years later. She then immediately started her dental implant training and obtained her implant fellow status in 2015.
It’s an understatement that Dr. Kelly Gonzalez loves dentistry. When she had to take maternity leave, she was constantly wishing she could return to treating cavities and restoring smiles. Over the years, she has often traveled across the country and overseas to learn as much as she can.
Dr. Kelly sees herself as a perfectionist and forms close bonds with her patients, treating them as if they were her own family. If they aren’t satisfied, she’s not satisfied – to the point where she can’t even sleep!
She has become a member of multiple dental associations, including the ADA, AGD, ICOI, AAID, Broward County Dental Association, and the Fort Lauderdale Study Club.
When she was pregnant in 2019, she did a presentation at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, winning the third-place prize, and she obtained her master’s degree for implants. Her future plans include become an ICOI diplomate.
Away from the dental chair, Dr. Kelly enjoys playing tennis and riding her motorcycle. She also loves traveling with her husband, Jerry – especially to Europe – and spending time with her son, Santino.
